Reddened Ravens

Two winter ravens have come down, come down,
Into my soul to take the pain away.
And piece by piece they pluck and pluck their prey
From tender toes to flesh atop my crown.
Inside the depths within my darkened soul,
The reddened ravens, Odin’s ravens, sit
And eat through memories, and all the grit,
And lastly leave me with a gaping hole.
