Missed

Of Apollo’s heat
Of languid loins born
Of Clyties wave tossed
outstretched limbs forlorn

consequential as the tide
on misty waves they rise

Of flesh curvaceous
Of longing unmet
Of imminent death
Of lover’s sunsets

dispersed in sunlight on high
nature’s water sprites sigh

Born apart, love denied
unformed they rise
