Submissions for the anthology Witches Save the World: Hags, Harridans, and Hexes Gone Right have now officially closed.
First, thank you to everyone who submitted their work. I have received well over one hundred short stories, poems, and essays. I have read through a handful already, and I love what I am seeing. The creativity. The righteous anger. It’s wonderful.
Second, I have a lot more reading to do. I plan to get through all of the submissions, and send out notifications, no later than 1 May 2026. Ideally I’ll finish in the next couple of weeks, but it might take the whole month.
So if you submitted to the anthology, and you don’t hear back by the beginning of May, reach out to me at lyradora@yahoo.com and we’ll try to figure out what happened.
Third, there has been a change to the planned distributor. Draft2Digital (which I used to release Vampires Save the Night: Heroes, Anti-Heroes, and Not-So-Reformed Villains) recently announced that distribution to Amazon is no longer guaranteed. It’s invite-only on the part of Amazon, which can decide at any time and for any reason to not carry a book. As such, I will set up an account with PubShare instead and use that to pay contributors their royalty shares and distribute the book to all the major retailers.
I look forward to reading all of the wonderful submissions. Come back in May for a sneak peek at the table of contents!
