Forests Haunted by Holiness

James Allen St. John (1875-1957), ‘Ave Pan’

Welcome to Forests Haunted by Holiness. In this blog — where I hope to post at least once a month, but probably more often — readers will find everything from original short stories and original poems, to exclusive excerpts from my forthcoming novelettes and novellas, to ramblings about my To Be Read pile, to grumblings about my garden, to musings on myths and fairy tales and other sacred stories, to interviews with other creators. Content will be tagged accordingly:

Climbing Mount TBR (celebrating my latest literary acquisition, which I may or may not get around to reading and reviewing)
Exclusive! (pre-release excerpts from my upcoming novelettes, novellas, and short story and poetry collections, usually with a pre-order link)
Fiction (original, previously unpublished short stories and novelettes)
Gaia’s Grace (gardening, herbs, and occasionally recipes)
A Gift From the Muses (story ideas! use them as you see fit)
Interview (sit-downs with editors, authors, and poets whose work is of interest to a Pagan/polytheist audience)
Musings (thoughts on fairy tales, folktales, myths, and other sacred stories, as well as the process of writing)
Poetry (both previously unpublished poems and those which saw only a very limited distribution)
Review (usually books, but occasionally television series and movies, as well)

Additionally, check out the Recommendations pages, where I list more than a few titles in different genres, which I think will be of interest to you.

So, come back when the mood strikes you or input your email address below to be alerted when a new post appears. And please feel free to leave any comments or questions.
